In this GPBL, a design build workshop will be carried out in the village of Lue in rural area of Luang Prabang, a world heritage city of Laos. Through a series of renovation of traditonal Lue house, we will touch on the details of the construction process, structure of wooden houses, and participate in traditional rituals related to cooperative construction. This workshop is part of a project to transform the entire village into an eco-museum with the goal of self-reliance and development of rural villages in Laos. The renovated houses will be used as an accomodation for tourists. Moreover, this program will also provide an opportunity to learn about the UNESCO preservation project in the Luang Prabang.
