A laboratory student received an award in International Seminar

Eisuke Shoji, who is studying at Silpakorn University Graduate School in Thailand, received the Best Paper Award at International Seminar on Vernacular Settlements (ISVS)-12 2023.

Congratulations!

I think this is an excellent study that deeply immerses itself among the residents and spatially analyzes how social relationships are created in Klong Toi, one of the largest slums in Southeast Asia located in the center of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

This is extremely important research for our laboratory, which aims to improve living conditions while making use of the positive characteristics of slums, rather than simply giving them clearance just because they are slums.
